USES
Treat high blood pressure (hypertension).
BENEFITS :
Telmisartan is used to lower high blood pressure. Telmisartan may also be used to lower your risk for heart attack, stroke, or death from heart disease. It’s given to adults who are 55 years or older and at high risk of major heart disease events who can’t take angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. To treat high blood pressure, telmisartan may be taken in combination with other blood pressure-lowering drugs.
